The Congress of Crumpets is proud to produce the Constitution of Crumpetization which outlines the sippin’ and consuming rights of the governing body’s constituents. Whether you enjoy the antioxidants of tea, the caffeine spike of coffee, the flavorful delicacies of crumpets, or all of the above – this document is your Bill of Delights. Ten (10) digestible rights that allow you a say in the direction of the Congress of Crumpets. Whether you want your representatives to reconsider approved legislation, vote on provisions to modify the Constitution of Crumpetization, or lobby your representatives to review a coffee, tea, or crumpet – this document gives you that power.
- Should a registered constituent feel an approved legislative statute does not serve their consuming behavior or does not provide them with the coverage of a coffee, tea, or crumpet brand they desire, constituents may raise these concerns in the comments on the corresponding review posted in the Senate Americano, House of Tea-Reps, or Committee of Crumpeteers.
- A registered constituent (email subscriber) is classified as one who has joined (for free via email) the Congress of Crumpets.
- Registered constituents have the opportunity to vote on proposed provisions presented by the Congress of Crumpets. Those provisions will not be ratified unless the majority of registered constituents vote to approve the change.
- The provision will be emailed to constituents with the opportunity to cast one (1) vote and the voting will be open for 24 hours from the time the email is sent.
- If the provisions are approved, the changes will be made public at the conclusion of the 24-hour voting period via the Constitutional Provisions page (permanently available) and public announcement banner for 24 hours.
- Up until one (1) registered constituent exists in the Congress of Crumpets, provisions will be debated between the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Committee of Crumpeteers. Once a registered member is confirmed, voting on provisions will be granted to registered constituents.
- If a registered constituent is viewed by the Congress of Crumpets as a contributor of meaningful feedback and discussion to better serve the entire constituent base as a whole, they will be invited by the Congress of Crumpets on official letterhead to join either the Senate Americano, House of Tea-Reps, or Committee of Crumpeteers as a member only.
- A member-only designation gives the invited party the opportunity to vote on co-sponsored bills (not sponsored bills). An email will be sent to the member to provide their vote.
- Invited members will not be able to write reviews in the chamber they’ve joined.
- A member may submit a co-sponsored bill proposal to the Committee of Crumpeteers for review.
- A member may also vote on the ratifying of a legislative statute containing proposed changes.
- Non-registered constituents will have the ability to leave comments on any review covering coffee, tea, or crumpets but will not have the ability to vote directly on approved legislative announcements.
- Non-registered constituents may lobby registered constituents or invite congressional members (in the comments of a posted review only) to request changes be made to existing legislative statutes.
- Badges will be provided for registered constituents and congressional members so that in the comments of a review, all fellow constituents will know the appropriate party to reach out to in order to redress their grievances.
- Permission will be sought out by the Congress of Crumpets before adding the said badge to a registered constituent or congressional member.
- Both registered and non-registered constituents will have the opportunity to cast one (1) vote in an open election concerning new features added to the Congress of Crumpets website.
- Voting will be open for a period of 24 hours from the time it’s publicized.
- Registered constituents will be notified via email.
- Non-registered constituents will see a banner on the homepage of congressofcrumpets.com.
- All constituents will see a 24-hour countdown timer to cast their vote and voting will close at the conclusion of 24 hours.
- Results will be made public before any implementations of new features are added on the Meeting Notes page.
- Once the implementations are made, a public banner announcement will be added to the congressofcrumpets.com homepage for a period of 24 hours.
- Registered and non-registered constituents may alert the Committee of Crumpeteers‘ Chair, Kevin Pechin, or Vice Chair, Frank Angelone of any misbehaving taking place in the Congress of Crumpets.
- An investigation of the misbehavior will be conducted by both the Chair and Vice-Chair and if warranted the offender will be blocked from entering the Congress of Crumpets.
- Alerts to the Committee of Crumpeteers can be sent via the Contact page.
- The privacy of both the reporting constituent and the accused will remain as such.
- Registered constituents can email the Senate Americano, House of Tea-Reps, or Committee of Crumpeteers if they wish to be featured in The Crumpet Chronicles.
- The Crumpet Chronicles is the monthly local newspaper emailed to registered constituents that summarizes the latest happenings within the Congress of Crumpets.
- Registered constituents have the opportunity to be featured in this publication to share their favorite tea, coffee, or crumpet with their fellow registered constituents and provide some detail as to why they find it so delectable.
- Registered constituents should reach out via our Contact page should they wish to be featured and contact the appropriate congressional member.
- Registered constituents will receive 10% off any future merchandise created.
- Coupon codes will be sent via email.
- Registered constituents who are invited to become congressional members will receive 20% off.
- Should a new sector of the Congress of Crumpets be opened to create a new branch of oversight (i.e. Attorney General, Judge, etc.), the first vote will be held by all constituents before being sent for a second round of voting by invited congressional members.
- The new branch of oversight proposal must first come from the Committee of Crumpeteers and be brought to both the Senate Americano and House of Tea-Reps for approval.
- The proposal will be shared on the Meeting Notes page.
- The Senate Majority Lemur and Speaker of the House of Tea-Reps will sign off based on the committee’s recommendation and if both choose to do so, the two rounds of voting will commence.
- Both rounds of voting must require majority approval in order for the new oversight branch to be created.
- The first round of voting will take place during a 24-hour period.
- A banner will be made available on the homepage of congressofcrumpets.com during the allotted voting time.
- A countdown timer will count down the allotted 24-hour period.
- Only one (1) vote per constituent will count.
- Registered constituents will also be notified of voting via email.
- Upon conclusion of the first round of voting, the invited congressional members will vote for official approval only if the initial round of voting passed.
- The results will be made public in an announcement via a banner on the homepage of congressofcrumpets.com for a period of 24 hours.
- If passed, the new oversight branch will be added as a menu item to the Congress of Crumpets website.
