The Congress of Crumpets has formed from a passion for tea, coffee, and the deliciousness that is crumpets. What are crumpets you say? Well, we invite you to read our DECLARATION OF CRUMPET CONSUMPTION (DCC) and take note of Article III(A)(a).
Our Chair of the Committee of Crumpeteers, Kevin Pechin, is a tea connoisseur and would see fit each day around 3 PM EST to declare “Tea-Time” – DCC, Article V(A) – as a way to join together all fellow tea-drinking, bean-brewing, crumpet loving enthusiasts to take a break from their days and enjoy some of the simpler things in life. It is with that philosophy in mind that he requested the assistance of his fellow bean-brewing confidant to join forces and engage in “Tea-Time” which the Vice-Chair, Frank Angelone happily obliged.
During this time, the Vice-Chair realized a formal set of guidelines needed to be introduced to make these gatherings official and to add dignity to the distinguished and posh nature that is “Tea Time”. The Chair agreed with the Vice-Chair’s assessment and The Congress of Crumpets was born. The Vice-Chair crafted the initial DECLARATION OF CRUMPET CONSUMPTION and went back and forth with the Chair of the Committee of Crumpeteers to finalize the said document so that tea, coffee, and crumpet enjoyment could be enshrined in its rightful glory for all fellow constituents to consume.
This website is the official culmination of that vision and it’s where the committee wishes to share its knowledge and reviews of the many crumpets consumed, tea steepened, and beans roasted.
Here you’ll also meet our esteemed colleagues as voted on by the Committee of Crumpeteers: Senate Majority Lemur, Arabica Lemurista, and Speaker of the House of Tea-Reps, Rexington Von Herbisaurus.
We thank you for visiting the Congress of Crumpets and look forward to serving our fellow constituents. Please feel free to contact us should any concerns arise.
You have been “Crumpetized” – DCC, Article I(G).
